Patna: The Siphai Bhagat Sports Awards Function, scheduled for September 3 in celebration of Sports Day, will recognise outstanding contributions by sports personalities, coaches, and players. The event will be hosted at Open Mind A Birla School, Danapur, under the auspices of the Siphai Bhagat Sports Foundation. Aman Kumar, COO of Open Mind A Birla School, Danapur, announced that senior cricket coach Devki Nandan Das will be honoured with the prestigious Siphai Bhagat Khel Ratna Award. Additionally, various officials and coaches from different sports associations will also be recognised for their contributions.
School Principal Paljinder Pal Singh emphasised that the Siphai Bhagat Sports Foundation has consistently led the way in social initiatives, successfully organising numerous sports events over the years. He added that the school encourages students to excel not only in academics but also in activities such as sports and the arts. The list of awardees has been carefully compiled under the supervision of Santosh Tiwari, the founder of the Sardar Patel Sports Foundation, who will also oversee the event.
