SDV Public School and Gravity High School Secure Victories in Super Semi-Finals of Sukhdeo Narain Memorial Cricket Tournament

Patna: In the super semi-finals of the All India Sukhdeo Narain Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament, held at Jagjivan Stadium in Khagaul, near Patna, SDV Public School and Gravity High School clinched wins to advance further in the competition. SDV Public School defeated Dony Polo Public School by 6 wickets, while Gravity High School overcame Cambridge Public School by 22 runs.

Rishabh Raj Stars as SDV Public School Overpowers Dony Polo

In the first match, Dony Polo Public School won the toss and elected to bat. However, their innings crumbled as they were bowled out for just 86 runs in 18.3 overs. Amartya Chaudhary top-scored with 13 runs, followed by Piyush with 12, Rohit Pandey with 10, and Hrithik Seth remaining unbeaten on 11.

Rishabh Raj was the standout bowler for SDV Public School, taking 4 wickets for 14 runs, while Devansh Ashwal also made an impact with 2 wickets for 3 runs.

In reply, SDV Public School comfortably chased down the target, scoring 87 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 13.3 overs. Abhishek Kumar was the key performer with an unbeaten 36, supported by Kumar Shan, who remained not out on 23.

Dony Polo’s bowling attack saw Amartya Chaudhary, Ujjwal, Priyanshu Kumar Pratik, and Rohit Pandey each pick up a wicket. Rishabh Raj’s brilliant all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match award, presented by former Ranji player Nikhilesh Ranjan.

Gravity High School Triumphs Over Cambridge Public School

In the second semi-final, Gravity High School opted to bat after winning the toss, posting an impressive total of 182 for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Mukesh Yadav was the top scorer, remaining unbeaten on 48, with Parth contributing 37 runs.

Cambridge Public School fought hard in their chase but could only reach 160 for 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Yash Raj played a remarkable innings, scoring 53 runs, but his efforts were in vain as Gravity High School’s Saman delivered a superb bowling performance, taking 4 wickets for 17 runs. Saman’s efforts were recognised as he was awarded Player of the Match by Prabhat Kumar and Abhitabh Palit.
