Patna: Satyam Kumar produced a stunning all-round performance as YMCC defeated Crescent CC by a massive 221-run margin in the Adhikari Madan Mohan Prasad Memorial Patna District Senior Division Cricket League match played on Monday.
After winning the toss at the Genex Cricket Academy Ground, YMCC opted to bat first and posted a formidable 368 for 9 in 35 overs. In reply, Crescent CC were bowled out for 147 in 27.5 overs. Satyam Kumar was named Player of the Match for his outstanding display.
Opening the innings for YMCC, Satyam Kumar played a blistering knock of 156 runs off just 56 balls, smashing 8 fours and 17 sixes. Captain Virat Pandey contributed 54 runs, while Guddu Kumar added 40, helping the team reach a commanding total.
Chasing the daunting target of 368, Crescent CC got off to a shaky start. Captain Abhinav Sinha scored 34 runs, Nadeem Striker made 28, and Aditya Sahay added 23, but the rest of the batting line-up failed to build partnerships as the team was dismissed for 147.
With the ball, Gaurav Raj led the attack for YMCC, claiming 4 wickets for 22 runs in 7 overs. Satyam Kumar capped his all-round show by taking 3 wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs. Divyansh, Kartik Pandey, and Virat Pandey picked up one wicket each.
