Patna: Former JD(U) national president and senior BJP leader RCP Singh has launched a new political party named “Aap Sabki Awaaz” (AASA). The party, known by the acronym AASA, has adopted a tricolour flag in green, yellow, and blue.
RCP Singh outlined that the development of Bihar will be the party’s primary focus, with particular emphasis on industrial growth. He highlighted hydrogen as an emerging and significant energy source, adding that while Bihar has numerous untapped resources, local leaders have been slow to explore opportunities beyond traditional industries like sand. Singh also mentioned the potential for gold reserves in Bihar, stating that exploratory work would have begun if he had continued as a minister.
The party aims to establish a strong grassroots presence. Membership is free of charge and can be obtained through a missed call to 9102186677. Those who recruit 10 members will gain the status of active members within the party.
Singh expressed determination to build his party’s strength, noting that out of Bihar’s 243 assembly seats, 140 prospective candidates have already shown interest in contesting under the AASA banner. He also mentioned his intent to review and amend Bihar’s liquor ban law, suggesting that a committee be formed to explore a more effective implementation of the ban.
The party will include 65 specialised cells, including one dedicated to tribal communities making up less than 1% of the state’s population, to ensure representation and inclusion for smaller groups. Singh reiterated the need to work inclusively for the development of all people in Bihar.
