Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Visit Bihar, Inaugurate Nalanda University Campus

Patna, June 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bihar within 10 days after taking the oath for his third term as PM. After attending the G7 meeting in Italy and the swearing-in ceremonies of the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, this will be his first visit to Bihar. During his visit, PM Modi will address students from India and abroad at a program at Nalanda University.

PM Modi’s Rajgir visit will commence from Varanasi. He will depart from Varanasi airport at 8:30 am on June 19, arriving at Gaya airport at 9:15 am. His helicopter will then depart Gaya airport at 9:20 am, landing at Nalanda University Campus in Rajgir at 9:50 am.

From the helipad, PM Modi will travel by road to the Sushma Swaraj Auditorium, arriving at 10 am. He will formally inaugurate the newly built Nalanda University campus during a ceremony from 10 am to 11:30 am. PM Modi will address students from Nalanda University, both domestic and international. The ceremony will conclude at 11:45 am, after which PM Modi will return to Gaya by helicopter and then depart for Delhi.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will accompany PM Modi during the visit. DM Vaibhav Srivastava confirmed that PM Modi will participate in a program at Nalanda University and visit the ruins of the ancient university. Preparations are in full swing at the university campus for the event. It has been confirmed by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat that CM Nitish Kumar will be in attendance during the Prime Minister’s visit.
