Patna: Construction work under the Patna Metro project beneath Rajendra Nagar Terminal is emerging as a remarkable example of modern engineering. Massive tunnel boring machines are operating round the clock directly beneath the railway tracks of one of the city’s busiest stations, Rajendra Nagar Terminal, without causing the slightest disruption to train services above.

Given the risks associated with working beneath active railway tracks, safety standards have been maintained at international levels. A real-time monitoring system has been installed across the site, transmitting continuous updates on underground movements to the control room.
The primary objective of the safety teams is to ensure zero disturbance to train operations above while safeguarding the structural stability of nearby buildings.
