Patna: Excitement is at its peak in the city as Patna prepares to welcome the New Year with grand celebrations. From parks and the zoo to leading hotels across the city, elaborate arrangements are in place to usher in the New Year in style. Hotels are all set to make the 31st night memorable with lavish décor, entertainment and special programmes.
Special arrangements have also been made at city parks and the zoo for New Year’s Day. Ticket prices have been hiked for January 1, while parks that usually remain closed on Thursdays will stay open. Ticket bookings are available in both online and offline modes.
Carnival Festival to Add to the Fun
Preparations for New Year’s Eve celebrations are in full swing at hotels across Patna. Hotel Gargi Grand is hosting a Carnival Festival, promising a unique blend of entertainment, music and fine food. A major attraction of the evening will be a dance performance by actress Shubhi Sharma.
The event will feature a range of attractions including mujra, nail paint art, tattoo artists, palmistry, a selfie zone, DJ music, live singing, guitar and saxophone performances, and western fusion dance, keeping the atmosphere lively throughout the night, said Vivek Kumar, the hotel’s manager.

A dedicated kids’ play zone has been arranged to ensure families can enjoy the celebrations without worry. Guests will be treated to a gourmet live buffet, snacks and mocktails, featuring over 161 royal dishes and interactive counters.
Entry charges have been fixed at ₹5,999 for couples, ₹3,499 for stags and ₹1,999 for children aged 1 to 12 years. The event will run from 7 pm to midnight, concluding with a cake-cutting ceremony.
‘Around the World’ Theme at Hotel Patliputra Exotica
Hotel Patliputra Exotica is bidding farewell to 2025 and welcoming 2026 with an ‘Around the World Night’ theme, combining music and global cuisine. Vice-President Vipin Jha said Indian Idol fame Roshan Kumar will enthral guests with a live performance on the night of December 31.
The celebration will include a live DJ with dance, cake-cutting ceremony, live performances by male and female singers, a female anchor and surprise gifts. Guests will enjoy unlimited starters, an unlimited gala dinner buffet and a mocktail counter. A special kids’ zone and tattoo maker have also been arranged.
Entry fees have been kept affordable: ₹999 for children, ₹2,999 for stags, ₹4,999 for couples and ₹9,999 for the premium couple package. The premium package includes an overnight stay in the hotel’s luxurious suite.
Sufi Evening at Hotel Maurya
At Hotel Maurya, internationally acclaimed Sufi singer Ustad Munawwar Masoom will be the main attraction on December 31. General Manager Apurva Gaur said a grand musical evening has been organised to welcome New Year 2026, featuring Sufi, Punjabi folk and Bollywood performances.
Arrangements include a lavish gourmet dinner, live food counters, DJ countdown, special stay packages and comprehensive security and convenience measures. Entry fees are ₹6,000 for stags and ₹10,000 for couples, while suite stay packages are priced at ₹10,000 for stags and ₹15,000 for couples.
Live Performance by Singer Kanak Singh
Hotel AVR will host a live performance by singer Kanak Singh Rajput, known for her Hindi, Bhojpuri and devotional songs. General Manager Arun Pratap Singh said the celebration will feature a DJ night, dance floor, kids’ zone and family entertainment.
Various packages have been designed for different groups: kids’ package at ₹869, stag entry at ₹1,699, couple package at ₹2,699 and family package at ₹3,699. All packages include unlimited food and live entertainment.

Adventure Activities to Remain Closed on January 1
As January 1 falls on a Thursday, Eco Park will remain open, though adventure activities will be closed. Entry tickets will cost ₹50 for adults and ₹20 for children, while boating and other adventure facilities will remain shut.
At Patna Zoo, ticket prices will be three times higher than usual on New Year’s Day. Entry will be allowed from 7.30 am to 4.30 pm. Adult tickets will cost ₹150 and children’s tickets ₹60, with all adventure activities remaining closed. The district administration has also banned all boating operations on the Ganga river on January 1.
