Patna: PAC registered a convincing 24-run victory over BSEB in a match of the Adhikari Madan Mohan Prasad Memorial Patna District Senior Division Cricket League, organised by the Patna District Cricket Association. Ravi Kumar was adjudged Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
Playing at the local Urja Stadium, PAC, having lost the toss, were put in to bat first and posted 156 all out in 35 overs. The innings got off to a shaky start, but wicketkeeper-batsman Sachin Kumar steadied the side with a fine knock of 67 runs, guiding the team to a respectable total. Captain Abhijeet Rajan contributed 27 runs.
For BSEB, Saket Kumar delivered an outstanding spell, claiming five wickets for 24 runs in his seven overs.
Chasing 156, BSEB failed to build momentum and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Tushar Kant (22) and Saket Kumar (22) were the top scorers, but the side was bowled out for 132 in 28.2 overs.
Ravi Kumar led the bowling attack for PAC with four wickets, while Dhruv Kumar picked up three and Krit Sahni claimed two, sealing the win for their side.
