NDA Prepares for 2025 Bihar Elections, Sets Ambitious Seat Target

Patna: National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MLAs and MLCs convened a meeting in the Central Hall of the Assembly on July 22 to discuss the ongoing monsoon session. The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saw the Chief Minister urging all constituent parties to gear up for the 2025 assembly elections. Kumar confidently projected that the NDA would surpass its 2010 victory of 206 seats, aiming for over 220 seats in 2025.

JD(U) MLA Shalini Mishra stated that the Chief Minister provided guidelines on various issues, emphasizing the government’s comprehensive efforts. Kumar encouraged MLAs to approach him with any unresolved matters. Mishra echoed Kumar’s optimism, reiterating the goal of winning more than 220 seats in the upcoming elections. MLC Sachchidanand Rai highlighted the Chief Minister’s directive for all MLAs and MLCs to be present in the House for the discussion of significant bills.

JD(U) MLA Rinku Singh also emphasized the importance of the Chief Minister’s target for 2025, recalling the 206-seat win in 2010 and aiming for over 220 seats in the next elections. HAM MLA Anil Kumar expressed confidence in exceeding the 2010 seat count in 2025.

The NDA members expressed their commitment to achieving the target set by the Chief Minister. Recently, the BJP, during an extended working committee meeting in Patna, also set a goal of winning over 200 seats in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Nitish Kumar has now reinforced this ambition in the NDA meeting.
