Patna: A massive fire broke out at a car service center in Patna on Thursday morning, reducing dozens of luxury cars to ashes and causing an estimated loss of crores. The fire spread rapidly, engulfing the entire building and destroying numerous vehicles in a short time.

Upon receiving the report, several fire brigade vehicles rushed to the scene and began efforts to control the blaze. However, the fire had already grown significantly. The entire building was soon consumed by flames, prompting the evacuation of nearby houses as a precaution.

DIG Fire Services Patna, Mrityunjay Kumar Chaudhary, stated that the fire broke out at a Hyundai workshop near Saguna Mor in Danapur, burning approximately 20 to 25 vehicles. Over 20 fire engines were deployed to control the fire, and all possible techniques were used to extinguish the flames.

Mr. Chaudhary mentioned that the fire department was notified around 8 a.m. Upon arrival, they managed to control the fire with the help of 20-25 fire brigade vehicles. An investigation is underway to determine if the service center had the proper permissions and safety measures in place. The owner of the workshop will assess the total loss, and appropriate action will be taken if it is found that the garage was operating without a No Objection Certificate (NOC).

The cause of the fire is not yet confirmed, but it is suspected to have originated from a short circuit. The total loss, which includes many luxury cars, is believed to be in the crores. A thorough investigation will reveal the exact cause of the fire, the safety measures in place, compliance with fire safety norms, and the extent of the damage.
