Patna: A significant reshuffle has taken place within Bihar police department. On Wednesday evening, the Bihar government’s Home Department issued an order transferring 14 IPS officers to new positions. This follows a major administrative shake-up just a day earlier, when numerous civil servants were reassigned.
Among the IPS officers transferred, Shalin has been appointed as the Inspector General (IG) of Bihar Special Armed Police Force, Patna. Rakesh Rathi has been entrusted with the role of Inspector General of Police Training, while Rajesh Kumar has taken over as the new Police IG of Mithila Range, Darbhanga.
Shivdeep Vaman Rao Lande, formerly the IG of Tirhut Range, has been reassigned as the IG of Purnia Range. Pankaj Kumar Raj has been appointed Superintendent of Police, Assistant Director cum Civil Security. Vikas Kumar has assumed the position of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Begusarai.
Deepak Barnwal has been named Police DIG of the Security Special Branch, while Nilesh Kumar has taken over as DIG of Saran. Abhay Kumar Lal has been appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police at the State Crime Records Bureau, and Rashid Zaman has been given the responsibility of Deputy Inspector General of Police Administration. Additionally, Vijay Prasad has been named Assistant Inspector General of Police Training, and Dayashankar Singh has taken on the role of Superintendent of Police, IRSS, Patna.
This reshuffle in the police force closely follows a large-scale administrative reshuffling that took place the day before.
