Patna: As Bihar prepares for next year’s assembly elections, political parties are actively strengthening their organisations and finalising election strategies. Among them, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) [ LJP9Ram Vilas)], led by Union Minister Chirag Paswan, has entered election mode. Paswan, who strongly opposed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the previous assembly elections, has now affirmed that his party will contest the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Nitish Kumar’s leadership.

This decision was confirmed at a state parliamentary board meeting where LJP (Ram Vilas) passed a resolution declaring its alignment with the NDA. The party also announced that priority would be given to committed workers when selecting candidates for the upcoming elections. Hulas Pandey, head of the state parliamentary board, reaffirmed the party’s determination to fulfil the unfulfilled dreams of late Ram Vilas Paswan, stating, “Our strike rate in the Lok Sabha elections was 100%. We will contest the 2025 Bihar assembly elections under the NDA banner and ensure the alliance secures a massive majority.”

LJP (Ram Vilas) Bihar unit president Raju Tiwari further emphasised the party’s unity and commitment, assuring that they will work tirelessly to win all seats allotted to them in the NDA’s seat-sharing arrangement. The meeting also reiterated the party’s aim to replicate its success in the upcoming assembly elections. Several prominent leaders, including Lok Sabha MP Shambhavi Chaudhary, party chief spokesperson Rajesh Bhatt, and leaders Sanjay Paswan and Ram Vinod Paswan, were present at the event.
