Patna: In the boys’ category of the 15th Dhyanchand Memorial Ball Badminton Tournament, being held on the court of Kilkari Bihar Bal Bhavan under the aegis of Kilkari Bihar Bal Bhavan, Patna, with technical support from the Bihar Ball Badminton Association, the teams from Kilkari Patna and Miller School (Pool A) and Mahant Hanuman Sharan Vidyalaya and Kilkari Gaya (Pool B) have advanced to the semi-finals.
In a crucial Pool A league match on the third day of the tournament, Kilkari Patna secured an easy victory over Ram Mohan Roy Seminary, winning 35-12, 35-15. Meanwhile, Miller School triumphed over Patna Collegiate with a score of 35-23, 35-27. In Pool B, Mahant Hanuman Sharan Vidyalaya overcame Panchsheel High School in a closely contested match, winning 32-35, 35-31, 35-27. Kilkari Gaya also progressed by defeating Sir GD Patliputra School 35-18, 35-33.
Noteworthy performances were seen from Ravi, Prince, and Ritesh of Mahant Hanuman Sharan Vidyalaya; Krishnamohan, Vishal, and Ranjit of Miller School; Suraj, Anokhelal, and Gaurav of Kilkari Patna; and Aniket, Sachin, and Arjun of Kilkari Gaya.
