Dony Polo and SDV Public Schools Reach Final of Sukhdeo Narain Memorial Cricket Tournament

Patna: Dony Polo Public School and SDV Public School have secured their spots in the final of the All India Sukhdeo Narain Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament. In Thursday’s super semi-finals, Dony Polo Public School defeated Gravity High School by 18 runs, while SDV Public School claimed an 8-wicket victory against Cambridge Public School.

According to the organising committee’s secretary, Bijoy Kumar Narain Chunnu, the final will be held on 30th October at Urja Stadium and will be played as a day-night match.

Ronit Leads SDV Public School to Victory

In the first semi-final, held at Jagjivan Stadium in Khagaul, Cambridge Public School won the toss and elected to bat. They were bowled out for 129 runs in 18.1 overs. SDV Public School chased the target with ease, scoring 133 for 2 wickets in 12.1 overs. Ronit delivered an outstanding performance with the bat, remaining unbeaten on 85, earning the Player of the Match award, which was presented by Bijoy Kumar Narain Chunnu.

Mohit and Hrithik Shine for Dony Polo Public School

In the second semi-final, Dony Polo Public School overcame Gravity High School by 18 runs. Dony Polo batted first, posting 135 runs before being bowled out in 18.3 overs. In response, Gravity High School were dismissed for 117 runs, falling short of the target. Hrithik Seth’s brilliant bowling performance, taking 4 wickets for 19 runs, earned him the Player of the Match award, presented by Anjani Sinha and former Ranji cricketer Rakesh Sinha.
