Patna: Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary returned to Patna from Ayodhya today. During his arrival, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Mahila Morcha workers warmly welcomed him at the BJP office. Choudhary announced that he has fulfilled his pledge by dedicating his turban to Lord Ram in Ayodhya and expressed his commitment to developing Bihar under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.

Choudhary had taken a pledge to keep his turban tied until Nitish Kumar was removed from power. However, he recently went to Ayodhya and took off his turban, symbolically dedicating it to Lord Ram. Upon his return to Bihar, he stated, “I have taken off my turban at the feet of Lord Shri Ram. This is not a political issue.”

He further emphasized the BJP’s commitment to Bihar’s development, stating, “I have dedicated my turban at the feet of Shri Ram. Now, the Bharatiya Janata Party is determined for the development of Bihar. The government will run more strongly under the leadership of Nitish ji. For the next one and a half years, the work of bringing the story of Bihar’s development to its conclusion will be done under the leadership of Nitish ji. The country is developing, and Bihar will also contribute to it.”

When the alliance between RJD and JDU broke, and the BJP and JDU formed a new alliance, Choudhary took oath as Deputy CM, and his turban became a topic of political discussion in Bihar. The question of what would happen to the turban tied to remove Nitish Kumar was frequently raised. Choudhary had previously stated that he would dedicate it to Lord Ram.

Addressing the issue of the collapse of 12 bridges in the last 20 days, Deputy CM Choudhary mentioned that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is closely monitoring the situation and handling the entire issue. He assured that discussions on bridge maintenance are ongoing and that action will soon be taken against those responsible.
