Department of Post Launches Monthly Scholarship Scheme for Bihar Students

Patna: There is a great opportunity for students from sixth to ninth grade in Bihar to receive a monthly scholarship. Under the Deen Dayal Sparsh Yojana of the Department of Post, students will be given Rs 500 as a scholarship every month. All students from class sixth to ninth are eligible for this scheme. The Department of Post will organize a Medha Pariksha (talent search examination) for this. Students who pass this exam will receive Rs 500 as a scholarship every month for one year. This initiative aims to help children facing financial problems during their studies.

According to information received from the Department of Post, students of all schools can participate in this exam. It was also mentioned that students of private schools, along with government schools, can participate in this exam. In the Deen Dayal Sparsh Yojana of the Department of Post, scholarships will be given to meritorious students from sixth to ninth grade. To participate in this scheme, interested students must fill out a form. The last date for form submission is September 9. Forms can be obtained from the district or nearest head post office. The examination will be held on September 30.

Chief Postmaster General of Bihar Circle, Anil Kumar, stated that the syllabus for this examination has been released. The examination will be of 50 marks, including questions related to the Department of Post and postage stamps. Additionally, there will be five-mark questions each from history, geography, science, current affairs, sports, and culture.

This effort by the Department of Post will significantly boost the education system in Bihar. Many children in the state are unable to complete their studies due to financial constraints, often dropping out before reaching high school to assist their families. In such a situation, this scheme by the Department of Post will prove to be a boon for such children.
