BPSC Implements New Measures to Prevent Paper Leaks in Third Phase of Teacher Recruitment

By Neeraj Kumar

Patna: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has introduced a new strategy in the third phase of teacher recruitment to prevent incidents of paper leaks and the viral spread of question papers. Under this new approach, different sets of question papers will be used at various examination centers within each district. The commission has already started preparations for this new method.

Previously, the third phase examination was canceled due to a paper leak, which was traced back to the location where the question papers were being checked and printed. As a precaution, the BPSC has changed the printing center for the question papers this time.

The third phase of the teacher recruitment examination is scheduled to take place from July 19 to July 22 at 404 examination centers across 27 districts in the state. Approximately 6 lakh candidates will appear for various subjects. The commission has issued admit cards and allocated examination centers to the candidates. The exam will be conducted in offline mode, and candidates are required to enter the examination center at least one hour before the exam begins. Jammers will be installed at all centers, and the gates will close one hour before the start of the examination.

The BPSC aims to release the results of this examination between August 10 and August 14. The previous examination, held on March 15, was canceled due to a paper leak. Following a tip-off, Patna Police, with the help of Jharkhand Police, raided Hazaribagh and found more than 270 candidates at Kohinoor Banquet Hall preparing the leaked question paper and answers. The seized question paper was identical to the one used in the examination, leading to its cancellation.

In the third phase, 87,774 vacancies have been announced. A total of 5,81,305 candidates have applied, including 1,60,644 candidates for 28,026 primary posts, 2,13,940 candidates for 19,645 middle school posts, 1,44,735 candidates for 16,970 secondary posts, and 61,986 candidates for 22,373 higher secondary posts.
