Bihar Players Dominate Quarterfinal Line-up at All India U-16 Tennis Championship

Patna: Bihar players are excelling at the All India Ranking Under-16 Boys and Girls Tennis Championship, hosted by Naseeb Sports Academy in Patna under the aegis of the Bihar Lawn Tennis Association. In the boys’ singles event, seven players from Bihar—Satyam Prakash, Avinash Rai, Prakash Ranjan, Chaitanya Kabir, Sarthak Anand, Animesh Sagar, and Yash Raj—have advanced to the quarterfinals, alongside Uttar Pradesh’s Ayan Yadav.

In the girls’ singles quarterfinals, Bihar continues to impress with Meenal Singh, Divya Shri, Arya Parasar, Aashi Sharma, Shivangi S, Pranya Kashyap, and Aditi Mishra all securing spots. They are joined by Sarin Ghosh from West Bengal.

Boys’ Singles Pre-Quarterfinal Results

  • Satyam Prakash (Bihar) defeated Pranjal Srivastava (Bihar) 6-0, 6-0
  • Avinash Rai (Bihar) beat Suvigya Choudhary (Madhya Pradesh) 6-3, 6-1

  • Chaitanya Kabir (Bihar) triumphed over Anand Roy (Bihar) 6-0, 6-1

Boys’ Doubles Pre-Quarterfinal Result

  • The duo of Ayan Yadav (Uttar Pradesh) and Advik Chaudhary (Bihar) defeated Shashwat Anand and Pranjal Srivastava (Bihar) 7-2, 7-6(3).
