Patna: The Bihar government, under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has implemented a significant reshuffle of IAS officers, with several officials receiving additional responsibilities. A notification detailing these changes has been issued by the General Administration Department.
Anand Kishore, Chairman of the Bihar School Examination Board, has been given additional charge as Principal Secretary of the Finance Department. Lokesh Kumar Singh has been relieved from the Finance Department and appointed as Secretary of the Rural Development Department. In addition, he will hold the position of Secretary of the Tourism Department until further notice.
Abhay Kumar Singh, previously Secretary of the Tourism Department, has been transferred to the role of Secretary in the Urban Development and Housing Department. He will also assume additional responsibilities as Secretary of the IT Department and Managing Director of Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited.
Deepak Anand, Secretary of the Finance Department, will now also serve as Secretary of the Labour Resources Department until further orders. Kapil Ashok, Managing Director of Bihar State Path Vikas Nigam in Patna, will take on the additional role of Chairman of Bihar State East Construction Corporation Limited, Patna.
Nilesh Ramchandra Deore has been assigned the additional charge of Special Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat Department. Several officers who previously held additional responsibilities have been relieved of their duties.
It is noteworthy that Amrit Lal Meena has recently taken over as the new Chief Secretary of Bihar, while Alok Raj has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP).
Deepak Anand, Secretary (Expenditure), has also been assigned the role of Secretary of the Labour Resources Department. BSRDC Managing Director Shirshat Kapil Ashok will now additionally serve as Managing Director of Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam (BRPNN). Nilesh Ramchandra Deore, Managing Director of North Bihar Power Distribution Company, will take on the additional responsibility of Special Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat.
