Patna: Dr S. Siddharth, Principal Secretary of Bihar Education Department, has announced the schedule for the counselling of candidates who qualified in the Teacher Recruitment Exam (TRE-3). Counselling will take place from 9th to 31st December, with notifications sent to district officials to ensure smooth coordination.
The counselling for Head Teachers (Classes 1 to 5) and Headmasters (Classes 9 to 12) will be conducted first, from 9th to 13th December. Of the 42,918 successful candidates, the 36,947 Head Teachers will attend counselling in their respective districts, while the 5,971 Headmasters will be counselled at divisional headquarters.
From 16th to 20th December, the 38,900 candidates successful in the third phase of teacher recruitment will undergo counselling. This includes 21,911 candidates for Classes 1 to 5 and 16,989 candidates for Classes 6 to 8, who will be counselled by the BSC in their designated districts. During this period, the department also aims to begin counselling for Class 9-10 and Class 11-12 candidates, pending the release of their results.
Between 23rd and 31st December, 65,716 candidates who passed Sakshamta-2 will undergo counselling in their respective districts.
Efficient Counselling Process Planned
The Additional Chief Secretary has directed district officials to establish sufficient counselling counters to accommodate 50-60 candidates per counter daily. The number of counters will be determined based on the volume of candidates in each district.
To ensure the process proceeds without disruption, all officers and employees of the Education Department have been instructed not to take on law enforcement or other unrelated duties during the counselling period. The department’s focus is on completing the counselling process efficiently and without interruptions.
This comprehensive counselling schedule is a significant step in the state’s ongoing efforts to address teacher recruitment and improve the quality of education in Bihar.
