Sovima (Nagaland): Bihar stamped their authority against Nagaland in the CK Nayudu Trophy Plate (Under-23) multi-day match, declaring their first innings at a colossal 714 for 8 and leaving the hosts reeling.
By the close of play on the second day, Nagaland had managed just 25 for 1 in 20 overs, trailing Bihar by a massive 689 runs.
Bihar’s innings was highlighted by a historic knock from Prithvi Raj, who produced a scintillating 282 off 271 balls, smashing 23 fours and nine sixes. Scoring at a strike rate in excess of 104, he was the last wicket to fall. Prashant Kumar played a composed innings of 140 from 223 deliveries, while wicketkeeper Shashank Upadhyay added solidity in the middle order with a well-made 113.

Useful contributions also came from Deepak (59), Aditya Raj (52) and captain Suraj Kashyap (41), as Bihar piled up 714 runs in 157.3 overs at a healthy run rate of 4.53.
For Nagaland, Keduohvetuo was the standout bowler, claiming five wickets for 213 runs in 45.3 overs, including three maidens. Kelhausilie Zaputou and Sujal Prasad picked up one wicket apiece.
In reply, Nagaland suffered an early setback. Mughaavi Sumi was dismissed for 15, while Keneizetuo Rio (8) and Raja Swarnakar (1) remained unbeaten at stumps. Bihar’s bowling was disciplined, with Suman Kumar accounting for the lone wicket.
