Patna: Many areas of Vaishali district, Bihar, have been declared flood-affected, with Tirsia Diara in the Raghopur assembly constituency being the worst hit. The district administration has set up relief camps for those displaced by the rising water levels of the Ganga and Gandak rivers, which have flooded homes over the past six days.
On Saturday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited the flood-affected areas in Vaishali, accompanied by a team including District Magistrate Yashpal Meena, Superintendent of Police, and other officials. The Chief Minister inspected the relief operations and met with flood victims to assess the situation. Tents have been erected at the district headquarters, providing shelter for those displaced by the floods.
