Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Unveils Memorial Honouring Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s Legacy

Patna: On the birth anniversary of India’s first Education Minister, Bharat Ratna Late Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Memorial at Nehru Path, Punaichak. During the event, the Chief Minister paid tribute by garlanding a portrait of the late education pioneer.

Kumar Ravi, Secretary of the Building Construction Department, presented the book Azadi Ki Kahani, authored by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, to the Chief Minister as part of the programme.

Also present were Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Building Construction Minister Jayant Raj, Prohibition, Excise and Registration Minister Ratnesh Sada, MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, Legislative Councilor Sanjay Kumar Singh (alias Gandhiji), Legislative Councilor Dr Khalid Anwar, Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr S. Siddharth, and other dignitaries, who each paid their respects by garlanding Azad’s portrait.

The event also featured bhajan-kirtan, Bihar folk songs, and patriotic performances by artists from the Information and Public Relations Department, celebrating the legacy of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
