Begusarai senior cricket team

Patna: Begusarai secured a place in the final of the BCA Men’s Senior One-Day Trophy 2025–26 after defeating Nalanda by six wickets in the second semi-final organised by the Bihar Cricket Association.
Batting first, Nalanda were bowled out for 213 runs in 47.3 overs. Kundan Verma top-scored for the side with a useful 77 off 93 balls, striking nine fours. Rajmani Prasad contributed 29 runs, while Munna Kumar added 22.
For Begusarai, captain Danish Alam delivered an impressive bowling performance, claiming five wickets for 41 runs in 8.3 overs. Sudhanshu Kumar also shone with the ball, taking three wickets for 34 runs in his 10 overs, including two maidens. Harsh and Abhishek chipped in with one wicket each.
Chasing the target, Begusarai comfortably reached 215 for four in 41.2 overs to seal the victory. Murari Kumar played a crucial knock of 87 off 107 balls, hitting 13 boundaries and a six. Atul Prakash scored 27, while Prithviraj remained unbeaten on 26.
For Nalanda, Rajmani, Aditya and Akash took one wicket each.
With this result, Begusarai will face Katihar in the final of the BCA Men’s Senior Tournament 2025–26 on 15 March at the historic Moinul Haq Stadium. The match will begin at 9:00 am.
