Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Thursday visited the sacred birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj at Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib in Patna Sahib. He paid obeisance at the shrine and prayed for the peace, prosperity and well-being of the state.
During the visit, members of the Shri Harmandir Ji Management Committee accorded him a warm welcome by presenting a ceremonial sword, angavastram, siropa and a memento.
Speaking to journalists, the Samrat Choudhary said the nation continues to progress under the inspiration of the Guru. He noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is moving steadily on the path of development. He also acknowledged the long tenure of Nitish Kumar, stating that Bihar had advanced under his leadership.

Choudhary further highlighted the successful organisation of the 350th Prakash Parv, adding that infrastructure in the area has been significantly improved. He expressed hope that the blessings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj would continue to guide the state, wishing for Bihar’s prosperity and the nation’s development.
Several dignitaries were present on the occasion, including MLA Dr Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, Inspector General of Police (Patna Range) Jitendra Rana, District Magistrate Dr Thyagarajan SM, Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya K Sharma, along with other officials, members of the Gurdwara Management Committee, sevadars and devotees.
