Patna: By-elections are underway for four assembly seats in Bihar, alongside assembly elections in Jharkhand and Maharashtra, with results scheduled for 23 November. As campaigning reaches its final phase, the NDA has intensified its efforts across all regions. Union Minister Chirag Paswan expressed confidence on Sunday, stating that the NDA would secure victory in all by-election seats in Bihar and establish coalition governments in both Jharkhand and Maharashtra.
Paswan highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ongoing support for the NDA’s campaign in Jharkhand and Maharashtra, noting his strategic campaigning approach. He remarked, “The NDA alliance won in Haryana; now it’s Maharashtra and Jharkhand’s turn. We’re confident the NDA will form the government in both states.”
Paswan also emphasised the Prime Minister’s commitment to Bihar’s development. Modi is scheduled to visit Bihar on 13 and 15 November—first to Darbhanga to lay the foundation stone for a new AIIMS, and later to Jamui to inaugurate various development projects. Paswan commented that the people of Bihar are witnessing the progress being made under NDA’s leadership. Meanwhile, opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav has also claimed victory in these elections, a statement at which Paswan took a jibe.
“Opposition leaders were equally confident during the Lok Sabha elections. How many seats did they secure in Bihar?” Paswan remarked. “It’s natural to make claims during election time, but the atmosphere and trends clearly indicate that the NDA will win all four seats in Bihar, and we will establish governments in Maharashtra and Jharkhand,” he affirmed.
