Patna: Under the leadership of Dr Amulya Kumar Singh, President of the Bihar Orthopaedic Association (BOA), a significant scientific seminar of the City Orthopaedic Club, Patna, was held at Hotel Panash on Sunday, 26 April. The meeting, convened by Dr Arnab Sinha, saw participation from leading orthopaedic specialists of the region.
The chief guest, Bhupinder Singh Bajwa, Executive Committee Member of the Indian Olympic Association, stressed the need for closer coordination between the Olympic body and orthopaedic experts.
“There is an urgent need for better synergy between the Olympic Association and orthopaedic professionals,” Mr Bajwa said. “This will not only help reduce injuries on the field but also ensure quicker rehabilitation of athletes, enabling their swift return to sport.”

The seminar served as a robust platform for academic exchange. Scientific sessions were led by Dr Ritesh Runu, Dr Ashok Kumar Sinha, Dr Ashish Singh and Dr Jibendu Chowdhury.
During the meeting, complex orthopaedic cases were presented, with surgeons deliberating on advanced surgical techniques for trauma management, solutions to challenging orthopaedic conditions, and post-injury recovery processes in sports.
Around 75 orthopaedic specialists from across the city attended the event. The high level of discussion reflected the medical community’s growing commitment to advancing orthopaedic care, both in sports and in everyday life.
