Patna: The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Bihar State Kabaddi Association was held on Saturday at Ghirni Amusement Park on Shivala–Naubatpur Road in Danapur. The meeting was chaired by Association President Apurva Sukant, while General Secretary Vipul Kumar Singh welcomed the guests.
The meeting was attended by the Association’s Chief Patron Anjani Kumar Singh, Director General of the Bihar Museum, Chairman of the Bihar State Kabaddi Association Kumar Vijay Singh, Treasurer of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India Ramakant Singh, and presidents, secretaries and representatives of district kabaddi associations from across the state.
Members held detailed discussions on the organisation of the Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior State Kabaddi Championships scheduled for the 2026–27 season. Deliberations were also held on hosting and successfully organising the National Junior Boys Kabaddi Championship.

The AGM resolved to establish Special Training Centres in various districts across the state. It was also decided to identify talented players at the grassroots level and provide them with structured coaching to offer promising kabaddi players in Bihar better opportunities to develop their skills.
On the occasion, President Apurva Sukant proposed that compliance with the Government of India’s National Sports Policy 2025 should be made mandatory for the state association as well as all district associations. He also announced the formation of an Athletes’ Committee to ensure greater participation and representation of players.
Concluding the meeting, President Apurva Sukant expressed his gratitude to all office-bearers and representatives before formally declaring the AGM closed.
