Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday offered prayers at the Bari Patandevi Temple and Chhoti Patandevi Temple in Patna City, seeking peace, harmony and prosperity for the state. Priests conducted the rituals in accordance with Vedic traditions, accompanied by the chanting of mantras.
Following the prayers, the Chief Minister reviewed the arrangements at the Bari Patandevi Temple complex and directed officials to undertake further development. He emphasised the need to work on a corridor project and improve parking facilities. He also instructed that special attention be paid to the convenience of devotees to ensure they do not face any difficulty while performing religious rites.
Later, Samrat Choudhary, along with his wife Mamta Choudhary, visited the Jalla Hanuman Temple in Begumpur, Patna City, where they performed rituals and prayed for the well-being and prosperity of the state.
After the visit, the Chief Minister directed officials to address the persistent problem of waterlogging near the Jalla Hanuman Temple. He asked the Water Resources Department to prepare a plan for proper development and beautification of the area.
The temple committee presented the Chief Minister with a ceremonial chunari, prasad and a memento.
En route to the temples, people greeted Choudhary at several places, raising slogans in his support with great enthusiasm.
Among those present on the occasion were Samastipur MP Shambhavi Choudhary, Patna Sahib MLA Ratnesh Kushwaha, Patna Mayor Sita Sahu, Bihar State Religious Trust Board member Sayan Kunal, senior officials including the Chief Minister’s Secretary Anupam Kumar, Tourism Secretary Abhay Kumar Singh, Secretary Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, District Magistrate Dr Tiyagarajan S.M., and Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya K. Sharma, along with other dignitaries.
